Shin Eunseo, a teaching assistant in the chemistry department, fails Han Jaeheon — a student in his lecture — on an assignment. Desperate for the credits he needs to graduate, Jaeheon demands tutoring from Eunseo, and Eunseo finds himself tangled up with the whirlwind that is Han Jaeheon…

Swept away, helpless against Jaeheon’s sweet pheromones and the way he tramples straight through every wall around Eunseo’s heart, Eunseo plays a losing hand — a confession — to push him away. And that single choice drags Eunseo down into a bottomless abyss.

Characters

Han Jaeheon (gong) — Third son of the Hanseo Group. An alpha with a kind, beautiful face and a not-so-beautiful mind: someone who doesn’t quite understand other people’s emotions, with a slightly broken frontal lobe. A swimmer’s broad shoulders and a pianist’s long fingers. He calculates and weighs everything before he acts, and has never seen anyone but an omega as a romantic partner — but Shin Eunseo keeps catching his eye.

Shin Eunseo (soo) — A scentless mutant omega born to omega parents. Abused by his father and starved of affection, he has no confidence in himself. Half-blind without them, he hid behind huge glasses and shaggy hair all through college; even now, he is still busy hiding who he is.
