Chapter 192

Asad stared up at Kinain with a blank face.

“What… did you say?”

“…I want to.”

Kinain’s face looked utterly calm, so no one could have guessed how much courage it had taken him to say it.

A silence that felt like eternity passed.

At last Asad nodded.

“Understood.”

It seemed his effort to brave his embarrassment had paid off. Kinain rubbed his reddened ears.

“Good. Then now…”

“Yes.”

Asad gently pushed Kinain down onto the bed.

“I’ll do my best so that Your Highness will be satisfied.”

“No, this is—”

Kinain shook his head wildly. His sweat-damp hair clung to his forehead.

“This isn’t what I meant— ngh!”

The outer robe Asad had so carefully put on him lay crumpled on the floor. At least he still wore the thin nightclothes underneath, but his chest was already all open — a worse state than wearing nothing.

“Ah, wait, ngh!”

His slender body spasmed faintly. Clear, thin fluid spurted over his prominent nipples. Kinain panted like a beast pierced by a harpoon. White sparks flashed before his eyes.

How many times has this been?

He’d stopped counting after the third. He’d only been swept along, senseless, by the pleasure crashing over him in waves.

Whether from tears or from excessive pleasure, his vision blurred. Kinain forced his hazy focus together and looked down.

“Hah…”

Breathing hot breath, Asad slowly withdrew his hand. Kinain’s body shuddered once more at the long fingers pulling out, scraping his inner walls.

Clenching and unclenching his damp hand, Asad muttered.

“You only came from behind…”

For some reason, Asad’s voice was as hoarse as Kinain’s. Even though, while Kinain had released several times, he himself had not come once.

Asad hadn’t even undressed. Judging by how his trousers bulged as if about to burst, it wasn’t that he wasn’t aroused. He was simply enduring it.

In any case, Asad kept his word. He really did his best to satisfy Kinain.

Only his means were his hands and mouth.

“Asad…”

“Is it still not enough?”

Seeing Kinain’s cock, gone limp after release, Asad reached out. When he touched the oversensitive place, even Kinain couldn’t bear it anymore.

“Stop. I can’t take any more…”

With every word, his throat hurt as though burned by fire. At first he had held back, embarrassed by the sounds he made, but later he had no presence of mind for that.

Only then did Asad take his hand away. A refreshing breeze seemed to blow, and his body, damp with sweat and fluids, became clean. The wet sheets, too, were dry as new before he knew it. He felt relieved, since he had no strength left to go wash.

Asad bent and kissed Kinain’s forehead. Was it his imagination? He seemed to smell a faint metallic scent of blood from him. And something else familiar, too.

What was that smell?

“Rest, Your Highness.”

Not “Your Highness.” But Kinain had no strength left to utter a single word. Yet there was something he definitely wanted to say, so he dragged up even the strength he used to nurse and barely opened his mouth.

“…You did that on purpose, didn’t you?”

Asad clearly knew what he wanted. He had pretended not to know and driven Kinain on until he was exhausted. At the answer that never came, Kinain was certain his guess was right.

He wasn’t particularly angry at Asad’s stubbornness. Perhaps he had grown so used to suppressing his feelings for so long that he had forgotten how to be angry.

But rather than anger, it felt closer to heartache.

What was Asad so anxious about?

But his eyelids were too heavy to continue the thought. As if knowing his heart, Asad whispered.

“Sleep well.”

Listening to the gentle voice, Kinain’s consciousness slowly sank into darkness.

***

The dragon gazed at his lover, asleep as though knocked unconscious.

He brought his lips close to Kinain’s ear and called, but no answer came. His twitching lips moved carefully again.

“Kinain?”

This time, without waiting for an answer, he slowly pressed his ear to Kinain’s chest. His keen hearing easily caught his lover’s heartbeat.

Thump, thump. It had regained its calm, unlike just before. He was truly deeply asleep. Kinain’s pheromones, which had filled the room, were also ebbing like a receding tide.

“Hah…”

Only then did Asad throw back his head and breathe properly. When he tore off his stifling upper garment as though ripping it, what the cloth had hidden was revealed. Silver scales covered half of his right chest.

That had been close. A little longer and even he wouldn’t have been able to hold back.

‘Did the suppressants work at all?’

Before entering the bedroom, he had used up all the suppressants he had. Even so, he had failed to cool the heat.

A bead of sweat slid slowly down his nape. Even trivial sensations felt hypersensitive. His body, which wouldn’t shed a drop of sweat even sprinting at full speed all day, was drenched in sweat. He had bitten the inside of his mouth so much that, even with not a single wound left, his breath carried the metallic scent of blood.

Fortunately, Kinain seemed never to have realized how he had endured it, to the end. He’d worried what to do if someone so quick-witted noticed, but this method had worked well after all. He was dull to pain but weak to pleasure.

“Your Highness…”

Asad gazed at his soundly sleeping lover and took out his swollen cock. The glistening cock throbbed with veins, as though about to burst at any moment.

Even as he mechanically stroked his cock, his eyes doggedly chased Kinain. The face asleep, knowing nothing, was only serene.

“Your Highness doesn’t know. What dreams I have…” How much I want to violate you.

Since Kinain had woken, Asad had often dreamed of violating him. Engraving his marks all over that body, not stopping even when told no. Licking up the tears that ran down tasted so sweet it was hard to believe it was a dream.

But waking from the dream, it became horrible in exact proportion to that sweetness. Watching Kinain sleep, knowing nothing, he trembled with loathing toward himself.

Asad knew. The version of himself from when he had lost his memories hadn’t gone anywhere. In truth, that willful, violent dragon was his true nature.

“Ngh.”

Whitish fluid soiled Kinain’s face. The same scene as in a dream one day. The moment he realized it, his hand, which had been rubbing it in as if spreading semen, flinched and drew back.

Asad’s pupils narrowed, then returned to their original shape. Having his mate before his eyes, reeking of his scent, was in itself a test of patience. Especially in this state.

White light gathered in Asad’s hand, and Kinain’s soiled face was instantly clean. Even if he opened his eyes now, Kinain would never know what had happened to him.

Looking at the clean face, ambivalent feelings rose. He wanted Kinain to keep knowing nothing like this, and at the same time wanted him to open his eyes and see him like this. He wanted to protect him so that nothing in this world could hurt him, yet it was hard to hold down the cruel impulse to drive him to his limit and make him cry.

These were feelings Kinain had never taught him.

No wonder the first virtue a dragon who has met his mate must have is patience. The moment a dragon’s true feelings show, anyone would be afraid.

…No — actually, what he truly feared was that he knew Kinain would accept even these ugly desires of his.

How nice it would be if he were someone who cried that it hurt at even a small wound. Someone who said he was scared when scared, and that it hurt when it hurt.

But Kinain wasn’t such a person. He was someone who would gladly give his own flesh and bones if the other were hungry. He had learned what Kinain’s love was through an experience he never wanted to recall again.

So he had no choice but to be careful. Even as his mouth watered with hunger.

He must eat only a little. Only a little — keep the reins on his own neck.

The moment he dropped the reins, he would act willfully like the self in his dreams. He would become a beast with no restraint, filling only his own greed, and end up hurting Kinain.

Like his past self had.

The way to quickly cool his burning desire was to recall past memories. As though pressing hard on an unhealed wound, so that the pain made him forget other things for a while.

Only when he felt his arousal subside somewhat did Asad lie down beside Kinain. He carefully pulled him into his arms and buried his nose in his nape.

My Highness. My mate. Mine…

A satisfaction different from unfulfilled desire welled up, resolute. Saying this was enough, Asad swallowed his hunger and forced his eyes shut.
